Reports: Barcelona midfielder Busquets wants to stay despite getting offers from Ronaldo’s Al Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr showed interest in the Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets. Despite the interest, Sergio wants to stay at Camp Nou. Though the Spaniard’s contract is going to expire and he is yet to sign a new deal, Busquets doesn’t want to accept Al Nassr’s offer.
According to a report in SPORT, Busquets is willing to extend his contract and stay with Barcelona this season. Even Xavis wants him to continue for another season.
Al Nassr and MLS club Inter Miami were trying to rule Sergio and get a contract signed by him, but he rejected both offers.
What did Busquets say after getting offers from Saudi Arabian Clubs
When questioned by the media about his future with the club, Sergio told that he was not worried about his future but focused on the coming game.
Busquets said, “I have not decided anything. The important thing is the present. We are very focused on tomorrow’s final. I wouldn’t say it at a press conference either. A final is played tomorrow. I put the final before my future.”
Even the club Barcelona wants Sergio to stay, and the sporting director, Mateu Alemany confirmed that the club will hand over a new contract to the player.
Alemany told the media, “Busi knows the consideration that is given to him, he is an institution for the club and for the members. He ends his contract but it is a circumstance that he will assess. Between Xavi and him, they will make that decision when they consider it and we will support him, and if he stays, fantastic.”
