The 76ers have already made it clear that they won’t be trading Harden with any other team and expects him to return to them for the next season. But according to all the recent activities from Harden, he’s upset with this decision.
Well, sometime before when the 76ers were still open to trading Harden with Los Angeles Clippers, the Lakers weren’t up for the trade details which included the two role players from them. So this option s already out. And then another team also came out to be interested in Harden but that seems to be a fall’s hope now.
But many peoples failed to understand why Harden is so mad. The real reason he is so angry at Morey and the Sixers was explained by ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
“Harden is unhappy with Sixers president Daryl Morey over the lack of a long-term maximum-level contract offer, sources said, and the team is risking Harden’s arrival at training camp bringing anything but a championship mindset,” he reported over the weekend.
“The Sixers agreed to search out a trade upon Harden’s request after he agreed to pick up his $35.6 million player option in June, but the Sixers’ asking price was steep and no teams, including the Clippers, were willing or able to meet it, sources said.
“Philadelphia believes it will be a championship contender with Harden’s return alongside MVP center Joel Embiid and the team is determined to find a way to make it work with Harden this season.”
According to all the information we have, Harden seems to feel that he was lied. He players with his fullest for the 76ers, but still, on his side at least, was that a long-term contract was coming from Morey and the Sixers this summer. But that deal isn’t happening anytime soon which had Harden Upset.
Well, let’s wait and see how the 76ers will solve this situation.
