Reason Behind Reggie Bush Files Lawsuit Against The NCAA
Why former USC superstar RB Reggie Bush is filing a lawsuit against the NCAA?
Via several reports, Reggie Bush’s Attorney announced that he is about to plan a lawsuit of defamation against the NCAA sports federation.
According to the ESPN reporter, law firm McCathern, PLLC released this statement regarding the pending litigation:
“The lawsuit is based on the NCAA maliciously attacking his character through a completely false and highly offensive statement that was widely reported in the media and substantially and irreparably damaged his reputation.”
ESPN reporter said, “It stems from a statement issued by an NCAA spokesperson from 2021 that stated Bush was involved in a “pay–for–play arrangement.”

Here’s the statement in question:
“Although college athletes can now receive benefits from their names, images and likenesses through activities like endorsements and appearances, NCAA rules still do not permit pay-for-play type arrangements.”
“The NCAA infractions process exists to promote fairness in college sports. The rules that govern fair play are voted on, agreed to and expected to be upheld by all NCAA member schools.”
Heisman Trophy winner, Bush spent 11 seasons in the NFL and won Super Bowl XLIV in 2010 as a member of the New Orleans Saints.
It is unclear if Reggie Bush has a legitimate case against the NCAA but fans are sure rooting for the former NFL star.
