Coca-Cola was starting a new marketing campaign with the Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, and it was a big thing for the sports drink, and it was a big thing for Ja Morant as well as coke also.
As the company knows Ja Morant is accused of showing the gun in a live instagram video after this the Coca-Cola company make a U-turn from the 23-year-old guard Ja Morant to not make any scene and don’t wanna backlash from the fans.
The Advertisement was already released online by Coca-Cola with Ja Morant, After this when the gun incident take place it was immediately removed, and Grizzlies star Ja Morant also removed from the Powerade website
Ja Morant’s Advertisements Were Removed Because Of The Viral Video Controversy Regarding Showing Gun
Powerade is a well-known sports drink that’s used by athletes all over the world, but Gatorade is the dominant player in the market. To try and compete, Coca-Cola launched a new advertising campaign. It’s been tough for Powerade to compete with Gatorade because Gatorade has been around for over 20 years, whereas Powerade is a newer product. Unfortunately, choosing Ja Morant as their spokesperson wasn’t the best decision for Coca-Cola.
Ja Morant is a talented basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies who are highly respected in the NBA. He’s only 23 years old and has the potential to become a big star in the league after veterans like LeBron James and Kevin Durant retire.
Recently, Ja Morant’s advertisements were taken down due to some troublesome behavior on his part. As a result, he was also removed from the Powerade website. However, it’s important to note that Coca-Cola has not yet ended its contract with him.
Morant is currently not playing with his team and will miss at least two more games. If he stays out of trouble, Powerade may consider re-launching his ads and marketing campaign
