Real Madrid Is Ready To Bring Kylian Mbappe If 2 Conditions Are Met
Real Madrid is all set to go all in for Kylian Mbappe, but only if their conditions are met. Los Blancos, firstly, want the Parisian star to force a move himself and secondly, reduce his financial expectations.
There have been heavy links between the two parties since 2021. After failing to get the deal through, Madrid wanted to sign the forward as a free agent in 2022. However, after intense negotiations with Mbappe ended up taking a U-turn to stay in Paris. The Frenchman put pen to paper on a new three-year lucrative deal with PSG.
Real Madrid had to face disappointment as they put all their time and energy into Mbappe. In the end, the Spanish club had no other option but to go empty-handed. Manchester City had earlier signed Erling Haaland, who was Madrid’s second target.
As per MARCA, Real Madrid is once again showing their interest in the Frenchman. However, they need him to push for the exit himself.
Real Madrid Wanted To Bring Mbappe In 2021
The Mbappe transfer saga began in 2021 when Real Madrid submitted a bid of €220 million for Mbappe’s services. However, PSG valued the forward much more and refused to sell despite the forward’s keen interests.
Soon after, Madrid authorities were optimistic about getting him for free as his contract expires in 2022. After months of fighting over his signature, Mbappe decided to stay at PSG after all.
This left Madrid President Florentino Perez furious, saying “His dream was to play at Madrid, we wanted to do it last August and they didn’t let him leave, he kept saying he wanted to play at Madrid and like 15 days before he changed the situation. This is not the Mbappe I wanted to bring, he is another one, who must have changed his dream. He changes, he is offered other things, he is pressured and he is already another footballer,”
“There is no one at Madrid above the club. He is a great player, he can win more than others, but it is a collective sport and we have values and principles that we cannot change. The Mbappe who was going to come here is not this one. If it is, I prefer him to stay at Paris Saint-Germain. I want the one with the dream. Impossible in three years? In three years’ time we’ll all be bald? This Mbappe is not my Mbappe,” he added.
