Stetson Bennett joined Georgia as a walk-on but he led the Bulldogs to consecutive national championships. He leaves the team after working as a guest employee.

Just a couple of days after the thrashing TCU suffered at the hands of UGA. At SoFi Stadium, in a match that ended 65-7 in favor of UGA, Bennett recreated his iconic moment from Athens. He served mouth-watering chicken finger meals to the spectators from both the counter and the drive-through.

Similar to the previous incident in the title win against Alabama, Bennett cracked hilarious jokes while serving at the restaurant. The Heisman Trophy finalist told a customer that the bill accounts for “$65.07” referring to the scoreline in UGA’s win on Monday.

This joke was earlier used after a 33-18 victory over Crimson last year, he said to a customer “that’ll be $33.18.”

Honoring Bennett’s Legacy

While Bennett was having a good time with the fans, restaurant owner, Todd Graves had the unveiling of a custom-made portrait for Bennett. The portrait will be hung inside the Athens restaurant as an honorary gesture. Bennett has made a legacy that is tough to repeat. He triumphed over the SEC giants in Alabama and lead the program to repeat the championship win.

The team concluded its national championship celebration with a parade on Saturday. Now, Bennett is looking forward to the 2023 NFL draft preparation. It is believed by some that his stock as a quarterback in the NFL is limited.

No matter what, even if he fails to make a name for himself in the NFL, he will forever be cherished in Athens and by UGA’s football program. He is UGA’s second quarterback in history to have led a team to win consecutive championships. He retires with a 29–3 record and a perfect 15–0 mark in his senior season.
