Raiders owner Mark Davis goes on NSFW rant vs Packers on MNF

After his father, the late owner Al Davis, passed away in 2011, Mark Davis took over ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders. Because of their anti-establishment and tough-guy ethos, the Raiders have been one of the most talked-about NFL teams. It makes sense that their equipment appealed to the hip-hop scene.

The Raiders remain all-business despite the shift in leadership. They moved from Oakland to Las Vegas and constructed Allegiant Stadium, a multi-billion-dollar football shrine. Despite the fact that Davis is having a good time, he was caught on tape cursing.

During the Raiders’ game, Mark Davis makes an odd noise.
On camera, Cirque du Soleil performer Hayden Hopkins was seen with Mark Davis. Hopkins and Davis’ relationship status is ambiguous. However, Hopkins has the right to a seat next to Davis at the Raiders’ Week 5 Monday Night Football game in 2023.

On their home field, the Green Bay Packers, Davante Adams’ previous team, faced the Las Vegas Raiders. The cameras panned to Mark Davis at the 2.5-minute mark of the second quarter. The Raiders’ owner was overheard saying:

“What an a**h**le”

Although it’s easy to guess what Davis said, it’s not known why he exploded.

With the Raiders, Mark Davis has yet to have much success.

Davis could have uttered those things out of a desire to stop losing. His father led the Raiders to several Super Bowl victories. Unfortunately, he hasn’t lived up to those qualifications. The Raiders have only made two postseason visits since Mark Davis took over the organization in 2011, losing both Wild Card games.

In 2021, the Raiders advanced under interim head coach Rich Bisaccia, who took over for Jon Gruden. They had a 10-7 record going into the playoffs, but in their first postseason game since 2016, they were defeated by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Since then, Josh McDaniels has served as the Raiders’ head coach. After beating the Green Bay Packers 17-13 in Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season, he ended his first year in Las Vegas with a 6-11 record.
