Adrien Rabiot wanted to play for Liverpool
Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot has revealed that he has been a huge Liverpool fan and wanted to play for the Reds at some point in his career.
The Merseyside outfit issued a lot of interest in the French midfielder in the past. However, a deal could never materialize.
As of the now, the Frenchman is playing in Turin, where he has just signed a contract extension with the Old Lady. The midfielder talked about Liverpool being the club he supported since his childhood. He also spoke about some of the players he grew up watching and took inspiration from.
What did Rabiot have to say?
In conversation with Tuttosport, Rabiot said, “I loved Liverpool a lot because I was a bit fan of Steven Gerrard, who made me dream. And so therefore I followed the Reds.”
“My other idol was Zinedine Zidane,” the France superstar adds.
