Good news coming up from the reports as R Ashwin is all set to join the Indian team in England. Ravi Ashwin tested positive for COVID-19 a few days back and was quarantined in his house in Chennai. Due to this, he also missed the flight to the UK on June 16th with the Test squad.
According to reports, the spinner will board the flight for the UK in the next couple of days. Therefore, It can be expected that he will play the four-day warm-up match against the county in Leicester on June 24.

According to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and team management, Jayant Yadav was put on hold as a replacement for Ravichandran Ashwin, in case, He failed to recover fully till the one-off Test on July 1.
Jayant Yadav was even called up to NCA in Banglore for training, but that option is out of the frame now, as R Ashwin is fully recovered. The Sources in BCCI and team management confirmed that he will fly to England in the next 24 hours, most probably on 22nd June. R Ashwin is an integral part of the Indian Test team as he has a huge experience of 86 test matches, in which he grabbed 442 wickets. He has garnered massive success in a short period and earned an opportunity for himself in the Indian team for a long time, especially in the longer format.
India will play the fifth Test Match, which was rescheduled last summer due to the covid-19 scare in the Indian camp, on July 1 at Edgbaston, Birmingham. The last test of the series will be a decider match as India is ahead of the host by 2-1 in this series.

The Indian selectors have not mentioned any name as the vice-captain of the Indian Team yet.
