It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Mikala Jones, a highly respected professional surfer, at the age of 44. The surfing community mourns the loss of this incredible talent, whose life was cut short in a devastating accident.
As per Stabmag, During a weekend stay at Awera Resort in the Mentawais, Mikala suffered a severe injury that tragically led to his passing. Reports indicate that he accidentally severed a major artery in his groin, causing significant blood loss and irreparable damage.
Mikala Jones was widely recognized for his exceptional skills and unwavering dedication to the sport. For more than two decades, he rode the waves with unmatched courage and skill, capturing the hearts of fans worldwide.
