Pokemon Go is a free-to-play augmented reality mobile game developed and published by Niantic in collaboration with The Pokemon Company. The game was released on July 6, 2016, and quickly became a worldwide phenomenon, with millions of players around the globe.

In Pokemon Go, there are a total of 18 types of Pokemon. A Pokemon can be of one type or two. According to this, there are ways to assign the 324 different types of Pokemon. Out of these 324, Normal Pokemon is one type.

Normal-type Pokemon are tied with Electric-types for having the fewest defensive weakness in the game.

Weaknesses

The biggest weakness of normal-type Pokemon is fighting-type. Pokemon who come under the category of fighting type has an advantage over the normal type.

Normal-type Pokemon are immune to Ghost-type moves in the battle. It basically means that whenever a Pokemon tries to attack normal-pokemon with ghost moves, then it’s not at all effective. Trainers should keep these tips in mind when going up against Ghost-type Pokemon with their Normal types.

One of the downsides to this typing is that Normal-type moves are not super effective against any typing in the game. Other than this, two types that resist Normal-type moves are Rock and Steel-type Pokemon. These two typings cut the damage from Normal-type moves in half and act as a complete wall against Normal-type Pokemon.

It means that all the other types of Pokemon cannot easily dodge the Normal type moves or Normal type Pokemon. And, that’s why Trainers like to add them to their collection.
