PGA Tour Rushes to File “Emergency Motion” in Response to Lawsuit
The PGA Tour took swift action on Wednesday morning by submitting an emergency motion in response to a lawsuit. They are concerned about certain documents that were made public during the lawsuit.
The PGA Tour wants to keep pages 3 to 357 of the documents private. These pages contain emails and other records that are important to their case.
Apparently, there were some notes prepared for Tiger Woods to speak about during a meeting at the 2022 Travelers Championship in June. These notes praised the PGA Tour commissioner and encouraged players to criticize a golf initiative called LIV Golf, which is funded by Saudi Arabia. A report by Golf Digest revealed these details via Reuters ESPN.
The PGA Tour has filed an emergency motion to seal the documents that were made public last week in the class action suit with Larry Klayman.

However, Tiger Woods has denied receiving those notes and clarified that he didn’t even attend that meeting.
In response to the talking points memo released this weekend, I have never seen this document until today, and I did not attend the players meeting for which it was prepared at the 2022 Travelers.

Right now, the PGA Tour and LIV Golf are getting ready to merge with the DP World Tour. This is a big step because the PGA Tour and LIV Golf had some issues with each other in the past.
