Peyton Manning Takes on a New Job as College Professor Before Football Season

Peyton Manning, the famous NFL quarterback, is getting ready for an exciting time during football season. You might know him from his days on the field and as a host for Monday Night Football. But now, he’s adding something new and impressive to his list of accomplishments.

Manning is going to be a college professor in his new job role ahead of the 2023-24 season.

He used to play football in the NFL and became really good at it. And now, he’s going to teach college students about something he’s an expert in.

Manning is going back to the college he went to, the University of Tennessee. He’s going to help students learn about something called “communication and information.” That means he’s going to share what he knows about talking to people and sharing information.

The college said that Manning will join the other professors for a little while. He’ll talk to students in some classes and work with the regular teachers to help students learn better, as reported by ESPN. Manning is like a special guest teacher!

Manning is excited about this new job. He said, “My time as a student in the College of Communication and Information was a foundational experience during which I learned critical skills and messaging techniques that I continue to put to use almost daily. I look forward to working with the college’s talented faculty, and directly with students in an effort to ensure they are well prepared for their future careers.”

The dean of the college, Joseph Mazer, is also excited. He said, “There is no other ambassador for our college and university like Peyton Manning, and we are proud to welcome him to the college’s faculty. Peyton is a true Volunteer, and I look forward to our students gaining invaluable knowledge from him as we continue to prepare the next generation of communication and information leaders.”

Manning is going to teach in a place called Knoxville, which is where the college is. It’s going to be cool for the students because they’ll have a famous football player as their teacher.

So, while Manning will still be on TV for Monday Night Football, he’ll also be in the classroom, helping students learn about communication and information. It’s a new adventure for him, and it’s going to be interesting to see how he does in this new job!
