Perfect Response From Coco Gauff on Protestors Delaying U.S. Open Match
Coco Gauff, an American tennis player isn’t happy about the recent incident that has happened in U.S. Open. She advanced to the US Open final on Thursday night, but the win took a lot longer than she expected.
During the match between Gauff and Karolina Muchova, the Protests from environmental activists caused a 49-minute delay. At the time of the delay, Gauff had won the first game of the second set and looked well on her way to a straight-set win.
Gauff won the game with a score of 6-4, 7-5, but the break was tough for both players in such an important match.
The 19-year-old American mentioned that she wasn’t happy about the protest causing the delay, but she still stood behind the activists and their cause.
“I definitely believe in climate change,” Gauff said when asked about the delay.

Gauff managed to stay focused and win on Thursday night. She’s now aiming to win her first-ever Grand Slam title in the Saturday final against Aryna Sabalenka.
