Penn State practices without music to prepare for road game at Northwestern
Football clubs use a variety of actions to assist them in being ready for their opponents.
A team may choose to practice with wet footballs if the forecast for game day calls for bad weather or rain. Or, to assist themselves in preparing for a difficult situation, teams will blast loud music or crowd noise.
This weekend, Penn State will play host to Northwestern, so the Nittany Lions will be practicing without music in order to get ready.
The 47,000-seat Ryan Field in Evanston, Illinois, is preparing for a significant restoration. Additionally, kickoff is set for Saturday at 11 a.m. local time.
In contrast, 110,830 people attended Penn State’s home game versus Iowa last week at Beaver Stadium.
Penn State coach James Franklin remarked, “It’s going to be very different from what we played in last week.” Just being open and truthful. Do internal or external factors drive us? I’m acting as though it doesn’t matter, but it does. You must prepare yourself for it.
Although the Wildcats have won both of their home games thus far, the attendance has been underwhelming. Ryan Field saw 14,851 spectators for the UTEP game and 20,148 for the Minnesota game.
When Penn State last played Northwestern, they triumphed 31-7.
