Paul George With Lakers vs Clippers
Although the Los Angeles Clippers‘ 2022–23 season should have been better, it is obvious that they will have their hands full once the All-Star break arrives. With a 32-28 record, which is enough for fifth place in the Western Conference, the Clippers are in a respectable position. Yet it’s obvious that they will need to advance one or two spots in the rankings if they want to have a chance of achieving Paul George‘s major objective for this season.
Not everything has gone according to plan. The Lakers did win the 2020 championship while playing in the Orlando bubble, but their last playoff victory was in the Finals that year, and they now run the risk of missing the playoffs completely this year. The Clippers, on the other hand, have only triumphed in three playoff series with Leonard and George despite making their first trip in a conference final in team history in 2021. Despite some success for each squad, it hasn’t been sustained in any way.
The likelihood of any side winning a championship is dwindling as the main players for each squad become older; Davis, 29, is currently the only one in the quartet under 30.
It’s important to win a championship, but it looks like George only wants to win with the Clippers. George is trying to deliver a title to his hometown because it has never before seen such success. The talented shooting guard wants to alter the fact that the Clippers have never even reached the Finals in their 53-year existence, much like George.
These remarks from George are incredibly reassuring for Clippers supporters who were unsure about the team’s future following a disappointing season. When there is a will, there is a way, and George wants to win. George has a strong team behind him because he isn’t skilled enough to accomplish it alone.
