Former Lions pass rusher Trey Flowers was first drafted by the Patriots in 2015 and won two Super Bowls before he was traded with the Detroit Lions and signed worth $90 million deal for five years in 2019.
The Flowers were released from the Lions in 2022 and after a few months, he signed a contract with the Dolphins. 29-year-old Trey Flowers was unable to play with his full potential due to several injuries over the years.
Trey played four seasons with the Patriots and racked up 164 tackles, 59 quarterback hits, and 21 sacks. Since leaving in 2019, he has only recorded 101 tackles and 10.5 sacks.
Flowers will join a defensive front in the Patriots that features Matthew Judon, Davon Godchaux, Josh Uche, Deatrich Wise, Keion White, and Anfernee Jennings among others.
Maybe this reunion will bring back the old Trey Flowers.
