Pakistan Broke the streak against India
India-Pakistan World Cup match took place on Sunday 24th, where Pakistan overpowered India and broke the streak of losing. Pakistan won against India by 10 wickets,13 balls left to bat. The hard-earned goal set by India was 151/7, zero balls spared to bat.
Going down to the history of every match since the debut of the T20 World Cup format in 2007, that is 5 matches in total, India has dominated Pakistan every time. Not only in the T20 formats but in every layout of cricket matches.
India’s loss of top-order against Pakistan was as shocking as Pakistan’s triumph only with their openers. Babar Azam and Rizwan managed to take the game through its final destination and not only did they manage to do so but beautifully played through the overall innings.
Pakistan’s top bowler Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets in his first innings after Pakistan chose to bowl by winning the toss. Shaheen took the wicket of Rohit and swept him off (LBW).
Soon after Virat entered the pitch at No.3, Shaheen got his 2nd wicket by denting one more top-order batsman-KL Rahul!
Getting out with such runs was a sure pressure-building process for India after which playing without taking much risk, Virat and SKY batted well until Rizwan took the charge and edged Suryakumar Yadav.
Rishabh entered at No.4 and the pairing of Kohli and Pant earned India a score-board of 83/3 after which Pant was banged by Hasan Ali.
Virat and Jadeja completed their 100/4 in the 15th over of the mega-event. In which Kohli managed to earn his half-century. Hitting 3 Fours against Pakistan with such pressure over the head, Vintage Virat played exceptionally well but the match was going against India from the very beginning.
Jadeja hitting the short bowl with a stretch got out. Md. Nawaz ran and got the easy catch for Ali. Pakistan’s shock to India at 127/5 in the 18th over.
India in its very 19th over again got a wave of shock as the Indian skipper was also out after recovering India. Here comes Pandya at No.7 and hits a FOUR against and manages to steal the runs in between. Approaching the 20th over Pandya also got out and the score-board showed a set goal of 151/7.
Pakistan’s players removing obstacles from their way managed to dominate and restrict India efficiently. Not only in bowling they managed to steal big SIXES and FOURS against India in batting also.
Pakistan ruled out every batter as well as bowler yesterday. Keeping history in mind some might believe in the wrong captaincy or something. But history can be changed at any moment, at any time-Pakistan proved it true.
Without coming under pressure and going on playing smoothly Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan took the game through. Rizwan completed his 50 and hitting a SIX and 2 FOURS in the 17.5th over bowled by Shami Pakistan broke the streak and took down India.
Indian skipper Virat was surely disappointed but keeping the sportsman spirit high he hugged and appreciated the Pakistan’s players after the match got over.
India will be playing its next match against New Zealand on 31st October.
