Paige VanZant Shares Throwback of Her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Shoot and Her First Day of New Job
Former UFC fighter Paige VanZant delighted her fans this week by sharing a heartwarming throwback video from her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot in 2019. The shoot took place in the beautiful setting of Puerto Vallarta.
In a surprising revelation, VanZant revealed that she had to overcome a challenging obstacle during the shoot – a broken arm! Despite her injury, she fearlessly flew to Mexico for the magazine shoot and then immediately headed to Las Vegas for surgery to get a new plate in her arm.
Paige VanZant expressed her excitement and surprise at being invited to be part of the 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
“I was unbelievably shocked that SI Swimsuit called and asked if I would be a part of their magazine. I have constantly been having to prove to the world and UFC fans that you can be beautiful and a bad ass at the same time. Well, now it’s my moment to shine. This is my way of not holding anything back. I want people to know that you don’t have to choose. You do not have to label yourself as one thing because that’s what surrounds you. I’m not scared anymore to show how girly I am.”
Throughout the shoot, VanZant showed grace and professionalism, proving that her talents extend beyond the fighting arena. Her ability to embrace her femininity and strength inspired many.
Paige VanZant recently gets a new job as a host for Professional Fighters League in MMA which is broadcast on ESPN. She shared glimpses of her first day at the job and also how she celebrated the day with her husband, Austin Vanderford.
