Paige Spiranac Wants A New Dress Code For Golfers

Professional golfer/influencer Paige Spiranac is making headlines with her new desire to change the dress code for golfers on the Golf course.

Former San Diego State golfer Paige Spiranac is popular for her quirky content and expert advice on Golf. One thing common about her golf course videos is that she never dresses accordingly. Paige often wears casual tops or sporty dresses rather than a standard outfit for golf.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Paige told the reporters about the dress code she would prefer on the golf course.  Spiranac explained,

“I was a gymnast before I switched into golf, and so I was so comfortable wearing spandex and very little of it because that’s just what you wear when you’re wearing a leotard and you’re competing. And so when I switched into golf, we were struggling a little bit financially and so I didn’t have the luxury to go out and buy a whole new golf-appropriate wardrobe, and so I wore what was in my closet, which was workout clothes.”

She opened up about her struggle to find suitable dress in her initial days when she switched from gymnastics to golf. Spiranac said,

“I think we’re starting to see that change and fashion is such a big part of growing the game, and it’s moving in the right direction.”

This is not the first time Paige weighed her opinion to change the dress code and wear according to comfort.

Recently, Paige also suggested a PGA tour to let golfers wear shorts at Memphis during the FedEx St. Jude.

Let’s see how much longer the golf community will ignore Paige’s request.
