One NBA Team is Interested in Acquiring Christian Wood From Lakers
Los Angeles Lakers are interested in Acquiring Christian Wood but there seems to be another team interested in him. The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the best NBA teams and now they want to build a team that is stronger than ever by adding more stars to the team.
Lakers have got their hands on Jaxson Hayes this summer but he’s not enough to face Nikola Jokic reigns supreme. So Lakers have their eyes on Christian Wood. but there is another team who wants to get their hands on Wood.
According to Dan Woike of The Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Bulls are also on the list of the team who are fighting to get Wood in their squad. Lonzo Ball, a star player from the Bulls has been injured and is no longer capable of playing. So it’s reasonable for the Bulls to want Wood. Due to Ball’s injury, the Bulls now have a $10.23 million disabled player exception to maneuver with which is a lot more than the Lakers. L.A. is restricted to handing out the minimum at this juncture.
If the Lakers really serious about Wood and can go for him, then they could also try to finagle a sign-and-trade but it seems they don’t want that.
Wood comes with his fair share of pluses and minuses. Last season he averaged 16.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game for the Dallas Mavericks. When the Mavs permitted him to start, he averaged 20.3 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, and 2.3 assists per game.
Let’s see where he end-up in the end. Whether it will be the Lakers or the Bulls, what do you think?
