On the occasion of Ana Ivanovic’s birthday, Caroline Wozniacki beams about his “cute” childhood memories with his brother

Recently, Caroline Wozniacki responded to Ana Ivanovic’s birthday message to her brother Milos, which was a flashback.

Both athletes have had incredible career success, taking home Grand Slam victories and rising to the top of the international rankings. After Ivanovic won the 2008 French Open, he quickly rose to the top of the world rankings; in contrast, Wozniacki won the 2018 Australian Open and remained at the top for 71 weeks.

On Monday, October 16, Ivanovic posted a picture of herself and her brother from their early years on Instagram to wish her brother a happy birthday.

“Then as now – the best brother there is! ? Happy birthday, I wish you all the best ❤️,” Ivanovic captioned the picture.

Tennis professionals and fans alike, including Wozniacki, left several likes and comments on the post. Regarding the picture of a little Ivanovic with her brother in front of a birthday cake, the Dane commented

“So cute ?,” she commented.

Examining the head-to-head record between Ana Ivanovic and Caroline Wozniacki

Grand Slam champions Caroline Wozniacki and Ana Ivanovic have squared off against one another seven times in their careers and are both former World No. 1 players. But the latter has a lopsided 5-2 edge in their head-to-head record.

When the two first faced each other at the 2008 Australian Open, Wozniacki was unseeded and Ivanovic was the fourth seed. Six-1, 7-6 (2), the Serb won in straight sets. When they played each other again later that year at the French Open, Ivanovic won 6-4, 6-1, in straight sets. That year, she went on to win her sole Grand Slam championship at Roland Garros.

They played each other on hard courts for the next five matches. In the 2010 China Open quarterfinal, Wozniacki prevailed 7-6 (1), 6-4, and in the 2012 Dubai Championships quarterfinal, 6-3, 7-5.

In retaliation, Ivanovic beat Wozniacki 6-3, 6-2 in the fourth round of the 2012 Indian Wells Masters and 7-6 (5), 6-4 in the quarterfinals of the 2014 Monterrey Open.

In their last encounter, which took place in the 2014 Toray Pan Pacific Open final in Tokyo, Ivanovic defeated Wozniacki 6-2, 7-6 (2) to win her fifth and final match. Ivanovic retired in December 2016, but the Dane, who had retired in January 2020, came out of retirement for this year’s North American tour.
