Official: Anthony Gordon completes move to Newcastle United
Newcastle United sign Anthony Gordon from Everton
This Sunday Newcastle United completed the signing of Anthony Gordon, who arrives from Everton for a reported 40 million pounds. This comes after the 21-year-old submitted a formal request to leave the club.
Ever since their takeover, Newcastle has been performing incredibly in the Premier League and currently sits third in the league standings. The club aims to achieve Champions League Qualification for which they have added Anthony Garden to their roster to add depth in attack.
What did Gordon have to say about his new club?
Gordon said, “I think the fan base and the city really suits me as a person, the way the team is playing under the (manager Eddie Howe) at the minute really suits me, and the club just looks like they’re heading in the right direction.”
“I feel like it’s a really big step. People haven’t seen what I’m capable of yet.”
Gordon is an Everton Youth Academy product who made his senior debut in a Europa League match in 2017 while just 16 years of age.

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe described the winger as a “top, top talent.”
“I’m really excited to work with him, to develop him, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do in a Newcastle shirt,” Howe added.
