The 2023 Joburg Open will begin on Thursday, November 23. The tournament will be held at the Houghton Golf Club in Johannesburg, South Africa, and will have a 156-player field. The field for the South African event includes some DP World Tour regulars as well as prominent stars from the Sunshine Tour. Dan Bradbury, last year’s winner, will also defend his title at the tournament. South African golfer Dean Burmester, on the other hand, is the clear favorite to win the Joburg Open. The 34-year-old LIV Golfer enters the weekend tournament with odds of 12-1 (+1200).

According to GNN, Burmester is the favorite to win the 2023 Joburg Open. Following a successful LIV Golf season, the golfer will be looking to make a mark on the European Tour on home soil. On the odds list, the golfer is closely followed by compatriot Christiaan Bezuidenhout. He has 14-1 odds to win the tournament.

Branden Grace of LIV Golf is third on the list, with odds of 18-1. It is worth noting that Grace has already achieved good achievements in his nation. Burmester, on the other hand, was the better South African on LIV this season.

Dan Bradbury, the defending champion, has dropped to fourth on the odds board. He’s a 20-1 shot with DP World Tour regular Thriston Lawrence.

Other names to watch this weekend in Johannesburg include Hennie Du Plessis (22-1), Romain Langasque (22-1), Zander Lombard (25-1), Adrian Otaegui (30-1), Charl Schwartzel (35-1), Alejandro Del Rey (40-1), Casey Jarvis (40-1) and David Law (40-1).
