Novak Djokovic overcame Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece to win the men’s singles tournament, winning 6-3, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4) and capturing his record-breaking 10th Australian Open victory at the Rod Laver Arena on Sunday.
With this triumph, the 35-year-old became the first player since last June to reclaim the top spot in the ATP rankings. He is now the new world number one in place of Carlos Alcaraz.
Tsitsipas declared, “He’s the greatest that has ever held a tennis racket.”
