On Tuesday, There was a rumor that the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) was about to add two of the four remaining Pac-12 members, Cal and Stanford.
As per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, there have been significant roadblocks. According to ACC’s president, the Stanford and Cal schools won’t add any significant value to the conference.
Notre Dame, an independent college football has an opinion on Cal and Stanford. In a recent interview with ESPN’s Heather Dinich, AD Jack Swarbrick shared his point of view on Cal and Stanford joining the ACC.
Jack said, “The notion that two of the very best academic institutions in the world who also play D1 sports could be abandoned in this latest chapter of realignment is an indictment of college athletics.”

Sure Stanford and Cal will extend West Coast, but there are some significant logical issues as California is three hours behind the southeastern-based ACC. On top of that ACC already have 15 schools at this time. It would be ridiculous to change the whole schedule for only two schools in several sports along with the divisional divide in football.
Swarbrick is correct about Cal and Stanford’s academic reputations. Apparently, They will eventually find a new home after Pac-12 destruction last week.
