Northwestern Certain On Interim Head Coach After Pat Fitzgerald Firing

Northwestern University is not going to change its decision about firing Pat Fitzgerald.

Northwestern already decides who is gonna be the next interim head coach for this season and It’s definitely not Pat Fitzgerald.

Via ESPN’s Pete Thamel, defensive coordinator David Braun is going to be the interim head coach for this season.

Long-time head coach Pat Fitzgerald has been recently fired after serious hazing allegations going on in the Northwestern program. Fitzgerald was the longest head coach in Northwestern history and was popular among the fans.

Pat was on the University College team for the last 17 seasons with a 110-101 overall record. He led the program to three 10+ win seasons before he was let go earlier this week

North Dakota native David Braun was hired as the program’s defensive coordinator in January, so he’ll have to take on that role, as well as being the head coach for this season.
