Nick Saban Received First Legacy Commitment From Son Of Ex-NFL CB Dre Kirkpatrick
Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban received his first-ever legacy commitment from Ex-NFL CB Dre Kirkpatrick.
For the first time, Nick Saban ever received a commitment from a legacy recruit. On Friday, 2024 defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr., former NFL son of Dre Kirkpatrick committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Former Kirkpatrick was an outstanding cornerback at Alabama from 2009-2011, winning a pair of national championships and earning All-SEC honors twice. After Kirkpatrick Collegiate football in 2011, selected by the Bengals in the first round of the NFL Draft. His last team was the San Francisco 49ers in 2021.
And now Kirkpatrick’s son is about to start his career with Crimson Tide. Via On3, Dre Jr. said,
“They know how to win and have a great coaching staff. It is a great location from my hometown. Also being the first legacy player in the Nick Saban era. It’s a great opportunity to play and compete and make it to the NFL.”
Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. chose Alabama over Missouri, Tennessee, and a few other programs because of his desire to play for Saban and the rest of the Crimson Tide’s coaching staff.
For Nick, this is a great opportunity If Kirkpatrick Jr. is anything like his father will get great production out of him in Tuscaloosa.
