NFLPA Calls For Artificial Turf At All NFL Stadiums After Aaron Rodgers Injury

NFLPA director Lloyd Howell calling for all artificial turf from all the NFL stadiums after Aaron Rodgers’ injury.

On Monday night’s game with the Bills, Aaron suffered an Achilles injury due to an artificial turf. This injury cost Rodgers the whole season and the Jets their star QB.

After Aaron Rodgers’ unfortunate event, the NFL Players Association’s director made a plea to all the NFL franchises and called for all artificial grass from the stadium.

On Tuesday, new NFL Players Association director Lloyd Howell officially released a statement to stop using artificial turf. Howell said,

“Moving all stadiums to high-quality natural grass surfaces is the easiest decision the NFL can make. The players overwhelmingly prefer it and the data is clear that grass is simply safer than turf.”

Howell also questioned the stadium’s standard to go all natural grass when hosting soccer matches but is unwilling to do so full-time.

Meanwhile, damage has already been done to Rodgers who got injured during the first quarter on Monday when his Achilles popped while being sacked by Leonard Floyd of the Buffalo Bills.

Before NFLPA, Former Green Bay Packers teammate and friend of Rodgers, David Bakhtiari raised the question of using Turf. He said,

“Congrats @nfl. How many more players have to get hurt on ARTIFICIAL TURF??! You care more about soccer players than us. You plan to remove all artificial turf for the World Cup coming up. So clearly it’s feasible. I’m sick of this. Do better!”

Other than Howell and Bakhtiari, many NFL fans agree to go all natural and remove all artificial turf from every NFL game.
