NFL Responds to Racist Messages to Alexander Mattison

Alexander Mattison, the NFL star player is in trouble again. According to some latest information that has emerged on the internet, Mattison’s inbox is filled with a huge number of e N-word and other slur messages. 

On Friday morning, Vikings running back Alexander Mattison shared racist messages he received on Instagram from various people. 

The NFL wasted no time issuing a statement on this disturbing situation. 

“The NFL strongly condemns the racist comments directed towards Alexander Mattison online after last night’s game,” the league said. “Such hateful behavior is completely unacceptable in the NFL or anywhere else. We stand firmly with Alexander and remind fans to remember the humanity of all players and celebrate their contributions to the game we all love.”

The Vikings also showed their support for Mattison. 

“We are sickened by the hatred and racial slurs directed toward Alexander Mattison following last night’s game,” the Vikings said in their statement. “There simply is no room for racist words or actions in sports or society. The Vikings will continue to fight to eliminate hate, to educate and to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community that respects and values our unique backgrounds. We stand with Alexander and all players who, unfortunately, experience this type of ignorant and prejudicial behavior, and we ask our fans to continue to fight to eliminate racism.” 

Mattison, who is 25 years old, has been playing for the Vikings since 2019. He was drafted in the third round from Boise State.

This is one of the new issues going on in the NFL world recently. Let’s wait and see where it ends up. Hope everything resolves soon and Mattison won’t have to face hurtful messages like this in the future.
