New York Giants Lock in Rising Star Andrew Thomas with a Huge Contract Extension
The New York Giants have just made a major move by giving left tackle Andrew Thomas a massive contract extension. This exciting deal will keep him with the team until the 2029 season and is worth an incredible $117.5 million over the next five years.
The best part is, $67 million of that amount is guaranteed, making it the highest ever for an offensive lineman in the NFL, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NorthJersey.com’s Art Stapleton.

Andrew Thomas was a top draft pick in 2020, but things didn’t start off smoothly for him in the pros. In his first season, he had some difficulties adjusting, and the stats showed he gave up 10 sacks and 57 pressures. That’s a lot of pressure on a young player!
However, Thomas didn’t let that get him down. He worked incredibly hard, and it paid off big time. The following year, he came back stronger and played much better. He impressed everyone with his performances, and in the 2021 season, he was named in the second-team All-Pro.
The Giants are really investing in their key players. Earlier this offseason, they extended quarterback Daniel Jones’s contract, and now they’ve done the same for Andrew Thomas. Unfortunately, star running back Saquon Barkley couldn’t reach a long-term deal with the team, so he’ll be playing on a one-year contract in 2023.
