New Photos of Chet Holmgren, He Gained 13 Pounds and Looks Massive
Chet Holmgren is about to make his NBA debut in the upcoming 2023-24 season, and it’s expected to be an exciting story to follow.
During the offseason, the San Antonio Spurs chose Victor Wembanyama as the first overall pick in the NBA Draft, which drew a lot of attention.
However, just a year ago, Holmgren was a hot topic in the league because of his potential as a tall and promising player, despite being thin. Unfortunately, he had an injury during a Pro-Am game that temporarily slowed down his progress.
Everyone was concerned about Holmgren’s thin frame, and the injury seemed to confirm those worries. But since then, he has been gradually gaining weight and size. Recent photos show that he has added 13 pounds since joining the league.
Regardless of his weight, he was already impressive during his time at Gonzaga University. The upcoming season with the Oklahoma City Thunder holds a lot of promise for him.

I put on 10 pounds in one week while on vacation a few years ago. Not impressed.

Wembanyama’s entry into the league this summer might actually be beneficial for Holmgren, as they can inspire each other to perform at their best.
This situation could work out well for both Holmgren and the Thunder.
Will Holmgren continue to gain weight and build muscle in the future? Can he form a strong partnership with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to lead the Thunder to the playoffs? We’ll find out the answers to these questions and more during the 2023-24 NBA season.
