NBA Star Pau Gasol Celebrates Hall of Fame Entry with USC Cheerleader Wife
Former NBA player Pau Gasol made it to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame recently. He had someone very special cheering him on during this big event – his wife, Cat McDonnell. She used to be a cheerleader at USC, a college in California.
Pau and Cat got married in 2019. They put up pictures of their wedding on Pau’s Instagram page. He wrote a message there saying that it was the happiest moment of his life. He thanked their families and friends for making the celebration so wonderful. Pau also wrote that he loves his wife, Cat.
Here is what he wrote in the post, “The most magical moment I’ve experienced in my entire life. It makes me so happy to share a glimpse of our wedding with all of you! We are so thankful to our families and friends who made this celebration so special. I love you wife, @catmcdonnell7! ????❤️”
Cat Gasol, as she’s known on Instagram, has around 131,000 followers there. She posts lots of pictures of her and Pau having a great time together.
Cat shares pictures of her family too. They have two kids – Elisabet Gianna Gasol and Max. Elisabet was born on September 13, 2020. They gave her the middle name “Gianna” in honor of Gianna Bryant. She was Kobe Bryant’s daughter and both of them passed away in a helicopter crash in 2020. Their son Max was born last year.
Together, the Gasol family looks really happy.
