NBA star Kevin Durant Headed to the Phoenix Suns from the Brooklyn Nets: Reports
Phoenix Suns earned a stunning player, hours after billionaire mortgage lender Mat Ishbia purchased the Phoenix Suns. According to ESPN, the NBA star Kevin Durant headed up to the new team from Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. As per the reports, Durant and T.J. Warren are directed to Phoenix Suns in exchange for Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, and Jae Crowder. ESPN confirmed that the Nets is going to have a 2028 draft-pick exchange too.
Durant added to The Suns to an underachieving squad that sits at 30-26. The Phoenix reached the NBA finals in 2020-21, then had the best regular-season record in 2021-22.
Durant’s outgo from The Brooklyn Nets ended the history of the “big three” that was supposed to bring luster to The Nets. These few years are tough for the Nets as they swept in the first round of the playoffs last season. Harden already exited as a free agent in July. Irving demanded a trade last week and now Kevin Durant’s exit.
At a young age, Kevin Durant, 34 has so many accomplishments and records in his name, he won two NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors, won the NBA’s most valuable player honor in 2013-14 and he is a 13-time all-star. By the start of this year, Durant has been sidelined due to his groin injury. Durant played 39 games this season, and he is averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists.
