NBA player Tyre Nichols death: Players react to police footage

On January 7, Tyre Nichols was arrested due to reckless driving. And then the 29-year-old man was brutally beaten by the five officers Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr., and Justin Smith. Due to the beating Tyre had got many injuries, so it was advised to shift him to the hospital.

But after 3 days, Nichols died due to severe injuries. After the report’s confirmation, it was found that all the officers who had arrested him were the leading killers behind his death. So they were charged with assault, kidnapping, misconduct, and murder. 

Apart from the 5 officers, two fire department officers are involved in this case. And they are also removed from their work as they are also found indulged in this case.

How did the officers arrest Tyre?

As per the reports, Tyre was driving a car and he was just 100 feet away from his house. When the 5 officers arrested him because of reckless driving. But they treated him in a very wrong and illegal way, which is inappropriate according to the law.

After being, beaten brutally Tyre was sent to the hospital to get some treatment. But after 3 days, Tyre died only because of the irresponsible behavior of the officers. All five officers were fired immediately when everyone in the city got to know about this.

Both the teams Memphis and Minnesota have stated an emotional message regarding Late Tyre who had been a great player which they have faced in the entire tournaments so far. They have also honored Tyre Nichols before Friday’s game at the target center.

The teams also said that whether the NBA could ever get a professional and skilled player like Tyre Nichols. Apart from his professional career, he was a true gentleman according to his friends, team, and family.
