Nationals’ Outfielder Stone Garrett Got Injured While Trying to Stop a Home Run Against Yankees

The Nats vs Yankees game at Yankees Stadium witnessed something serious when Stone Garrett, a player for the Washington Nationals, got hurt while trying to prevent the New York Yankees from scoring a home run. This happened on a Wednesday night and got everyone worried.

Here’s what happened: Stone Garrett was playing in the outfield. DJ LeMahieu from the Yankees hit the ball, and it looked like it might become a home run. Garrett tried really hard to catch the ball before it went out of the field, but he didn’t succeed. He banged into the wall and hurt his left leg in the process.

Stone Garrett’s coach, Dave Martinez, said that his lower left leg got hurt and doctors will do some tests to see how bad it is. Everyone is hoping the tests will show that it’s not a very bad injury.

When Garrett tried to catch the ball, his foot got stuck on the wall’s padding. He was in pain and had to lie down for about six minutes. The doctors put something called an air cast on his leg to help him feel better. Then, with the help of his teammates and the medical team, he got up and was taken off the field on a cart. People in the crowd clapped and cheered for him. Many fans on social media also offer prayers for his well-being.

Stone Garrett has been playing baseball for a while. He started in the minor leagues in 2014 and played in different countries like Australia and Mexico. Last year, he got a chance to play for the big leagues with a team called the Arizona Diamondbacks. He did really well, hitting the ball with an average of .276, and he made four home runs and got 10 points for his team.

Later, Garrett joined the Washington Nationals. He’s been playing great, hitting the ball with an average of .269. He also hit nine home runs and got 40 points for his team in 89 games.

So, now everyone is waiting to hear how Stone Garrett feels after the tests and we all hope he gets better soon.
