Nacho shares encouraging news about his future
Real Madrid’s Nacho talks future amid contract running out
A Real Madrid captain, Nacho was one of the most exciting players on the pitch as Madrid won against Espanyol 3-1. Not a single player was able to dribble past him while he made 3 clearances. He contributed with an assist and two key passes with an astonishing 96% accuracy.
It was one of the finest displays from the 33-year-old. The Spaniard made his senior debut for the club back in 2012 playing 304 matches during his time. This season, however, the center-back has featured in 26 games and he kept a clean sheet in 10 of those matches.
What did Nacho say about his future?
“No. It’s a decision that will not depend on whether I play more or not, but it is clear that I am much happier now,” the center-half said.
“If things go as they have been going up until now, I won’t be able to find somewhere else the happiness I get from defending this shirt. I like to live in the present and things like these make me think that everything will be good.”
Nacho‘s current deal at the club expires this season. Despite struggling to get games early on in the season ahead of playing like Alaba, Militao, and Rudiger. However, as of late, he has managed to earn his place in the side thanks to his versatility and Madrid values him too much to let him leave.
