Mohammed Shami’s Hair Transplant: New Look 23 Months After Rishabh Pant Trolled Him

In today’s world, where Science and Technology are making big advances every day, it’s not uncommon for people to change their appearance through different methods. India’s fast bowler, Mohammed Shami, had been dealing with hair loss for a while, and there’s always been a solution to this problem. But for some reason, he waited until a few months ago to finally get the procedure done.

We don’t know exactly when he got the hair transplant, but the clinic where he went has said that the procedure was successful. They even have videos showing it.

What’s interesting is that Shami decided to do this about two years after India’s wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant, teased him on his birthday (September 3). Pant made a joke about Shami’s hair loss problem.

Mohammed Shami’s Transformation: A New Look

Eugenix Hair Sciences, which has clinics in three Indian cities—Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bhuvneshwar—recently shared on their social media that Shami got a hair transplant at their clinic not long ago.

It’s worth mentioning that when Shami first started playing for India in 2013, his hairline was moving back. Back then, it was the hair around the sides of his head that was affected. But over time, he lost hair from the top of his head too, as you could see during a match against Australia a couple of months ago.

The Eugenix Hair Sciences website says that they used a method called Direct Hair Transplant (DHT) to help Shami. This method not only brings back the hairline but also makes sure the new hair matches his existing natural hair in thickness and texture. The clinic’s founders, Dr. Pradeep Sethi and Dr. Arika Bansal, handled Shami’s case themselves.

Shami shared in a video that he felt really good about the treatment and the way the staff took care of him. He’s excited to see how it all turns out.

According to the clinic’s website, Shami’s new hair is growing well, and he’ll soon have a youthful look again. We’ll see the initial results in about a week when he plays in the Asia Cup 2023.

When Rishabh Pant Trolled Mohammed Shami For Appearing Overage On His 31st Birthday

Pant, who is recovering pretty well after having suffered multiple injuries due to the serious car accident last December, had pulled Shami’s leg on the day of his 31st birthday.

“Mohammed Shami bhai, ball aur umar dono tezi se nikli jaa rahi hai. Happy Birthday! [Brother, both the ball and your age is moving along at a swift pace],” Pant had tweeted back in the day.

In response, Shami joked that he can’t control how fast his cricket ball travels or how he’s getting older, but he hinted that Pant can definitely do something about his weight issue.

As we talked about earlier, Shami will be playing in the intercontinental tournament in Sri Lanka soon and also in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India. On the other hand, Pant might start playing for India again next year.
