Minor Change In Megan Rapinoe’s Final NWSL Home Game Against Washington Spirit
There are some minor changes adjusting to the upcoming Megan Rapinoe’s final NWSL game against the Washington Spirit.
On October 6, Megan Rapinoe will get to play her last match for OL Reign in front of the home crowd. Megan Rapinoe announced her retirement announcement before the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.
Two-time World Cup Champion Megam Rapinoe, last World Cup didn’t go as well as she planned. However Rapinoe announced her retirement, and she was bound to play one more National Women’s Soccer League home game.
OL Reign vs Washington Spirit game was initially set set for 10 p.m. ET. But the time has changed now, according to Stephen Golf, the match’s start time has been changed to 8 p.m. ET.

This is going to be the last match of Rapinoe’s soccer career. Rapinoe said in her retirement speech that she is grateful for being a part of the team for such a long period of time. Rapinoe said,
“I’ve been able to have such an incredible career, and this game has brought me all over the world and allowed me to meet so many amazing people.”
She continued, “I feel incredibly grateful to have played as long as I have, to be as successful as we’ve been, and to have been a part of a generation of players who undoubtedly left the game better than they found it. To be able to play one last World Cup and one last NWSL season and go out on my own terms is incredibly special.”

Rapinoe has been part of the OL Reign since 2013. The OL Reign FC has been home for the USWNT star for years. It is certain that OL Reign’s home fans will miss Megan Rapinoe.
