The sports world has been hit by externally sad news recently. A legendary All-Star cornerback and a former AFL star, Miller Farr has passed away at the age of 80.

Miller was a great player who played with many amazing teams like the Chargers, Cardinals, and Chargers. He even had an impressive three-year stint with the Oilers.

Farr was also the first-round pick in the AFL’s redshirt draft in 1965 where he played for a total of 10 seasons with five teams in the AFL and NFL and had 35 career interceptions. Out of which, in 1967, he led the AFL with 10 interceptions and three pick-sixes making it the most impressive year for the Wichita State product.

After the AFL-NFL merger, Farr moved on to the St. Louis Cardinals where he played for three seasons and then joined the Detroit Lions for one NFL season. After that, he finally retired in 1973.

After Farr took his retirement he acquired a Ford Motor Company dealership in 1975, started life as a businessman, and then died at the age of 80 on 18 July 2023.

Farr isn’t the only one from his family who is playing football. His younger brother, Mel Farr, was part of the Lions from 1967-1973.  And then there is his uncle, Mel Farr Jr. who was also a football player in his prime.

May Miller Farr’s sole REST IN PEACE.
