Michael Irvin has been pulled off from the SuperBowl coverage
It is unfortunate to know that Michael Irvin won’t appear on NFL Network for any of his remaining Super Bowl week appearances, as per Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News. He will be off from the Super Bowl, fans would miss him and so would the NFL world.
The choice of remaining off from the Super Bowl was made when a woman complained about his behavior. The lady accused Irvin of inappropriate behavior in an Arizona hotel lobby.
Certainly, when such things come into notice such steps are taken by the NFL fraternity as a sensitive issue.
Irvin provided his justification and his relationship with the woman was “essentially non-physical,” according to Irvin. He reported that they shook hands before parting ways.
“Honestly, I’m a bit baffled with it all,” Irvin said.
Obviously, these serious allegations made against any reputed person can leave them in 7s and 9s.
What Irvin further added:
“This all happened in a 45-second conversation in the lobby. When I got back after going out … I came into the lobby, and I talked to somebody. I talked to this girl. I don’t know her, and I talked to her for about 45 seconds. We shook hands. Then, I left. … That’s all I know.”
Fans are disappointed by the behavior he had shown after they came to know about the incident through tweets and comments.
As per one of the fans, Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty and discovering actual evidence against someone before suddenly pulling all their assignments and gigs away from them is not right.
Another fan wrote, “I am far from a major fan of Michael Irvin as a TV personality. That is the environment in which we currently live.”
Later this month, further information about this incident might come to light and when Irvin will return and rejoin NFL Network is not yet known.
