Miami Marlins’ Ball Boy’s Funny Mistake During Thursday Night Game
The Miami Marlins might want to rethink how they hire ball boys after a really funny mistake in their game last night.
During the sixth inning of the Marlins versus the Los Angeles Dodgers game, Freddie Freeman hit a ball into the outfield. But here’s the twist – the ball bounced into foul territory, and it was still a live ball.
The Marlins’ ball boy, in a moment that was pretty amusing, decided to grab the ball and throw it into the stands. This made the umpires say the ball was “dead,” and they gave all the players the bases they needed. Then, the ball boy just went back to his seat like nothing happened.

For Marlins fans, this was probably really frustrating. But for everyone else, it was just plain funny.
One person on social media said, “Let this be a lesson to lie on your resume.” That was a reply to Morgan Bagg.
Someone else wondered, “Just out of curiosity, are we 100% sure that’s the actual ball person and not someone who snuck onto the field?”
And another person joked, “Imagine his follow-up interview when he applies at Waffle House. ‘Reason for leaving last job?'”
