Miami Hurricanes Cause a Stir as Final Four Ticket Prices Drop Significantly

As the NCAA Tournament enters its final stages, the hype around the Final Four is at an all-time high. However, ticket prices for the event inside NRG Stadium have reportedly taken a massive hit in the secondary market, thanks to the Miami Hurricanes’ surprising run to the tournament’s final weekend.

The Hurricanes’ historic run has been the talk of the town, with the team knocking out highly-ranked teams in the Houston Cougars and the Texas Longhorns in their last two games. And it seems that their success has had an unexpected side-effect: a significant drop in Final Four ticket prices.

According to a recent report by Front Office Sports, the marketplace TickPick has seen a steep decline in ticket prices since Houston and Texas were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament. Before Texas’ loss to Miami in the Elite Eight, Final Four tickets were selling for $286 all-in. However, immediately after the game, prices plummeted to $195, and are now all the way down to $158. That is a 32% and 45% decrease, respectively.

This price drop is especially significant given the Final Four’s location at NRG Stadium, which is just a stone’s throw away from the University of Houston and within driving distance of the University of Texas. But despite this, ticket prices continue to fall as Miami’s unexpected success in the tournament captures the attention of basketball fans nationwide.

Marketplaces Seeing Major Drop in Final Four Ticket Prices

TickPick isn’t the only marketplace seeing a drop in prices. Ticketmaster and StubHub have also reported significant drops in prices, with Ticketmaster tickets dropping from $229 to $100 and StubHub tickets dropping from $250 to $122.

As we approach the Final Four, fans are eagerly anticipating the matchup between Miami and the remaining three teams – UConn, San Diego State, and Florida Atlantic. With Miami looking to secure its first-ever national championship, it’s no surprise that basketball fans are eager to snag tickets to the Final Four at discounted prices.

As the NCAA Tournament heads into its final stretch, the Miami Hurricanes’ Cinderella run has had a significant impact on Final Four ticket prices. It remains to be seen whether prices will continue to fall or if they will see a resurgence as the tournament reaches its exciting conclusion.
