Megan Rapinoe’s Last NWSL Game Breaks Attendance Record
In her final game at OL Reign’s home stadium, Megan Rapinoe drew an NWSL-record crowd of 34,130 fans.
OL Reign proudly announced this massive attendance number for Rapinoe’s last regular-season home game.
Before the game against the Washington Spirit, OL Reign put together a video tribute for Rapinoe, featuring sports stars like Abby Wambach and Magic Johnson.
After a goalless draw on Friday night, Rapinoe talked about the support she received from the fans at Lumen Field.
“I do know my impact but it’s one thing to know it, and another thing to really feel it and see it,” Rapinoe said. “To see some of the signs and the pink wigs and see what that means to people. It’s hard to put just this deep sense of gratitude and joy and thankfulness for being able to have a moment like this into words.”

During her time with OL Reign, Rapinoe played 114 regular-season games and scored 49 goals.
OL Reign will wrap up their 2023 season with an away game against the Chicago Red Stars next Sunday.
