Mbappe talks about his future amid Champions League exit
Kylian Mbappe breaks silence after loss to Bayern
After a first-leg loss, Mbappe has failed to secure PSG a place in the Champions League last 16. Last night, against Bayern Munich, Mbappe and Co. failed to inspire PSG over the Bundesliga champions as they lost 3-0 on aggregate. The Frenchman claims that the focus now shifts to winning the Ligue 1.
The striker seemed to praise Bayern Munich and claimed that the German side is capable of going all the way and winning the competition. He said, “They have a great team, they have a great squad they have a team that is built to win the Champions League.
“As I said at the beginning of the season, in my first Champions League press conference that we were going to do our maximums. Our maximum, that’s it, that is our truth,” he added.
Talks about his future
As covered by Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe told the media, “No, no, I’m calm — the only thing that matters to me this season is to win now Ligue 1 and then we’ll see.”
He continued, “At the moment, I’m only talking about this season. Nothing else matters to me. We are disappointed.”
The loss made fans expect another Mbappe-to-Madrid saga similar to this time last year. Anyhow, the World Cup winner is tied with the Parisians until 2025.
