Mazeo Bennett is finally close to committing to his next team which is most likely to be the Gamecocks. It will be interesting to see where the four-star wide receiver will continue his athletic career.
The Gamecocks have been recruiting heavily and bringing in the most elite talents available. With Head coach Shane Beamer leading the recruiting sector, this trend may well continue as Bennett has decided on his commitment date.
It was in a tweet made on Thursday that the wide receiver made it clear that he will commit on Friday. The wide receiver has been praised for his qualities and is believed to be the best in South Carolina Gamecocks for the class of 2024. Bennett took only two months to de-commit to his previous employers in Tennessee.
Where could Bennett likely land?
Bennett would add immense weight to the 2024 class of recruitment for South Carolina. This would be highly advantageous for the Gamecocks considering how strong the class is already. Bennett would only add to the quality of Carolina’s class of 2024 which is ranked as the 10th best in the country as per 247 sports.
Despite the player not making his commitment clear, his most favorable destination seems to be Columbia. He has previously expressed his desire of playing for the Black and garnet for some time now. However, he wanted to play in a strong attacking line. Carolina did showcase a great offensive structure last season, however, that might not be enough to convince Bennett.
