Overwatch is a first-person shooting e-game series developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. Overwatch was initially released in 2016 but got discontinued after the release of its sequel Overwatch 2 on November 1, 2019. In this game, two squads face and battle each other. There are many hero/soldier characters in Overwatch and one of them is Mauga. Here, you will get a brief overview of Mauga’s character in the game. So, Read till the end for complete information.
Introduction of Mauga in Overwatch
Mauga’s character was introduced during a short chapter in the storyline, What you left behind (featured Baptiste’s dark past). During the story, Baptiste was going back to his home, but he stopped on the way and went into his favorite bar. There he met two other characters (Mauga and Nguyen). Mauga is a tall and big hulk type personality covered in tattoos (as shown in the image below).
Then both Mauga and Nguyen join Baptiste’s squad ‘Talon’. The trio starts battling together in the game. While he (Mauga) conquers a set of heavy armor with a coolant strapped to his back and carries a pair of machine guns. He then activates the shield to protect this trio in the mission in the Caribbean country (which was handed to Baptiste by his former Talon partner).
There’s a possibility that Mauga will join the heroes of Overwatch and if he does, it will be under the category of tank character. As I mentioned above that Mauga is a large-bodied figure, he has the most impact-causing weapons also (like a machine gun) and he owns the shield which he uses to protect the trio.

The short and straight answer is No. As per the sources, the Blizzard Entertainment developers team has not officially added Mauga to the squad for Overwatch 2’s Season 2. But, it could be added later, it all depends on the storyline.
