Mason Greenwood unbothered by the hate
Greenwood is receiving hate despite being cleared of all charges.
According to The Athletic, Mason Greenwood, who was charged with accusations of domestic violence is still the target for hatred and chant from opposition fans during Man United games.
Despite the charges against him now dropped, some Newcastle United fans sang about the young forward during United’s Carabao Cup final game.
How did Greenwood’s representative respond?
Greenwood’s entourage has spoken on the matter with The Athletic: “There’s no real substance to any of this, it being a mix of old news, speculation, half-truths and completely untrue claims. Mason is 21, he has been cleared and should be allowed the opportunity to rebuild and move forward with his young life.”
Although Greenwood is cleared of all charges, he is yet to make a comeback at Old Trafford. Given the club has launched an internal investigation regarding the matter to further know about the details about the accusations made, Greenwood remains suspended.
On paper, the 21-year-old is still a Manchester United player and gets paid despite being out of action for over a year.
