Mark Jackson’s Message For ESPN After Getting Laid Off
Mark Jackson shares a message for his ESPN and his former crew after getting laid off.
The veteran NBA broadcaster Mark Jackson who joined ESPN in 2014 was shocked by the sudden firing on Monday. Despite the suddenness of the situation former coach of the Golden Warriors kept his cool and released the message.
Jackson took to Twitter to express his gratitude,
“This morning, unexpectedly, I was informed that my services were no longer needed at ESPN. Although shocked and dismayed by the suddenness of it all, I would like to thank ESPN and all the staff of the NBA ESPN crew for allowing me to be a part of the organization for the past 15+ years.
He thanked the NBA, “I would also like to thank the NBA fans watching at home in the arenas throughout the league for all of your support. To the NBA, a heartfelt thank you for allowing a kid to continue to accomplish his dreams.”
Before ESPN Jackson worked for the New Jersey Jets Nets on Yes Network, and Yes Network. Later Mark teamed up with Mike Breen and former coach Jeff Van Gundy. Jackson didn’t forget to mention Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy for the years of great partnership and friendship. The legendary NBA analyst Jeff Van Gundy was fired by ESPN last month.
Mark called sideline reporter Lisa Salters the “GOAT and thanked producer Tim Corrigan and the rest of the ESPN team.
58, Mark wished nothing but encouragement, and good wishes to the new cast and crew of ESPN.
Mark Jackson said, “Finally, I wish greater measures of success to the new ESPN team. May they continue to elevate this game that has given me a home and a life.”
Via the New York Post, ESPN will promote Doris Burke and hire Doc Rivers to join Breen on the lead broadcasting team. Fans are not so happy with the surprise firing of ESPN. Fans loaded the comment section with “you’ll be missed” and some of his remarkable comments during NBA games.
