Women’s March Madness 2023 will begin with the 2023 First Four Games on Wednesday, March 15, and will end with the NCAA Divisional I Women’s College Basketball championship game on April 2, 2023, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Like, Men’s Basketball tournaments, the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women’s basketball season will also consist of 68 programs participating to win the national championship. The 41st edition of the Women’s NCAA tournament will start with the kickoff of the Selection Sunday on March 12, 2023, which will be televised at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The single-elimination Women’s tournament will have the same procedure as of Men’s tournament. Out of 68, 32 teams will be conference champions which are automatic bids and the remaining 36 “at-large” teams will be selected by the selection committee on Sunday, March 12. The 4 lowest seeded teams from both the automatic qualifiers and “at-large” selection will compete in the 2023 First Four games and the 64 teams including winners of these games will advance to the main bracket of the tournament.

Women’s NCAA Tournament’s March Madness will start with the First two rounds also called subregionals. The First four games and sub-regionals will be hosted by the sites of the top 16 seeds as usual.
However, the two regionals aka Sweet 16 and Elite 8 will take place at two different sites this year. At these two sites, eight teams at each will compete with each other to advance to the Final four games.
